The Fall of Rome
"The Roman Empire lasted from 27 BC - 476 AD, a period exceeding 500 years. At its most powerful the territories of the Roman Empire included lands in West and South Europe (the lands around the Mediterranean), Britain, Asia Minor, North Africa including Egypt". There wasn't a specific series of events that lead to the fall of the Roman Empire, but instead multiple cases of escalated human flaws that caused the over decline for 500 years.

The Breakdown
The Roman Empire took more than it could handle in terms of land, leaders, and the pursuit of wealth. The senate was in absolute distress, causing the 20 to 22 deaths of different officials in only a period of 50 years, and an extremely distrusting environment was created among officials. Morals values became scarce because of the constant pursuit of being an official and trying to get by. Constant wars, heavy military spending, and the enemy knowing your tactics lead to an extremely distressed and poor community. The economy was suffering greatly and natural disasters did not aid any relief. The Roman Empire kept getting hit one severe blow at a time and eventually all at once. Eventually the Roman Empire became unsustainable and collapsed.
